Creative Process
The creative process is the most important part of any good project. It allows a designer to be specific, creative, and continue to produce meaningful work.
Project Goal
The goal for this project was the redesign and create a campaign for a small business. I chose a business called Two Dutch Hens located in Byron Center, Michigan. Two Dutch Hens is a small party supply business that also helps other small businesses sell their products.
Brand Brief
The first part of this project involved creating a brand brief. By thinking about and answering a series of questions about the business, it helped me to organize my thoughts and come up with a plan for my project. Scroll through the gallery to read the brand brief details.
Logo Thumbnails
The next step in the process was to sketch ideas for a logo redesign. I came up with multiple ideas and ultimately chose to create a final logo that looks like a gift box with two hens inside of it. I chose the a yellow color palette because yellow is a bright, cheery, and party-worthy color.
Marketing Concepts
The biggest part of the project was designing marketing concepts for Two Dutch Hens. I chose to create a reusable party bag, website, and a brand design they could put on different products. For example I put the design on gift bags, balloons, wrapping paper, and even a party catering van. Below are mockup images of these ideas.
